Seven Moore Taylor Law Firm Attorneys Selected as 2014 SC Super Lawyers and Rising Stars

South Carolina Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding attorneys, and the Super Lawyer designation is awarded on a yearly basis. Lawyers who receive this award have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process is multi-phased and includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. South Carolina Rising Stars was launched in 1988 to recognize the top up and coming attorneys in the state.

Moore Taylor Law Firm’s Stanley L. Myers named to The Citadel’s Board of Visitors

Moore Taylor Law Firm, P.A. is pleased to announce partner Stanley L. Myers has been appointed by the S.C. General Assembly to serve on The Citadel’s Board of Visitors. The Citadel’s Board of Visitors has the responsibility for the direction and supervision of the college. Myers will begin serving his six-year term July 1, 2014.

“It is an honor and privilege to be elected to the Board of Visitors by the S.C. General Assembly,” said Myers. “I look forward to honorably serving my school, acting in its best interests, and to giving back just as much at The Citadel has given me.”

Myers is a partner at Moore Taylor Law Firm, P.A., and has a state-wide practice with emphasis on criminal defense. He graduated from The Citadel in 1998 with a B.A. in political science. As a football player, he received numerous conference awards and ended his career as the school’s second-highest, all-time leader for total yards. Myers later graduated from the David A. Clarke School of Law in Washington, D.C., and in 2008, was named The American Bar of Trial Attorney’s Young Lawyer of the Year.

Currently, Myers serves as a major in the S.C. Army National Guard. He is the staff judge advocate at the 59th Troop Command. He served a 15-month combat tour in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Myers also founded the Swansea Mentorship Program and currently mentors approximately 36 young men. He is also a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.

Moore Taylor Law Firm Managing Partner Selected as Honoree

Moore Taylor Law Firm, P.A. is pleased to announce managing partner James Edward “Ward” Bradley has been selected as an honoree at the South Carolina Lawyer’s Weekly’s 2014 Leadership in Law Awards event. The Leadership in Law Awards spotlight those in the South Carolina legal community who have achieved success in their law practice, made contributions to society and had an impact on the legal industry.

Bradley is the managing partner at Moore Taylor Law Firm, focusing his practice mainly on business and personal injury litigation for plaintiffs and defendants. He is currently on the Board of Governors for the South Carolina Bar and is the President-Elect of the Richland County Bar Association. Bradley has been active in the State Bar where he has served as chair of the judicial qualifications committee. He has also served as the president of the USC School of Law Alumni Association.
