Fortino Named Moore Taylor Partner

Moore Taylor Law Firm, P.A. announces that it has named William (Bill) Fortino a partner in the firm.

Fortino practices family law, including divorce, child custody, visitation, child support, property division, adoption and other domestic cases. He is a native of Syracuse, N.Y., where he earned his bachelor’s from Le Moyne College in 2001. He graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2009. As a member of the Lexington County and South Carolina bars and the South Carolina Association for Justice, Fortino is also admitted to practice in U.S. District Court. He speaks on family law issues for National Business Institute seminars and the Continuing Legal Education program at the South Carolina Bar. He also serves as a board member of Fresh Start SC.

Moore Taylor Announces Robert D. Hazel Transitions to Of Counsel

Moore Taylor Law Firm announces that Robert D. Hazel, a firm partner, has transitioned into an “Of Counsel” role with the law firm. Moore Taylor is a full-service firm representing individuals, businesses and government agencies across South Carolina since 1971.

Hazel, who has retired from the full-time practice of law, will serve other Moore Taylor attorneys in any of his existing cases and work with any of the firm’s attorneys who wish to associate him on cases. His practice has consisted of estate planning, probate, elder care and law, mediation and business law.

“Bob’s service to this firm and to our clients for years has been unparalleled,” said Ward Bradley, Managing Partner. “We are grateful that he’s agreed to continue in this of-counsel role as he moves forward from the full time practice of law and we know our clients will continue to find the same service they knew and expected with Bob with the Moore Taylor attorneys who will now take on his cases and continue to work in those practice areas.”

Other Moore Taylor attorneys will take on Hazel’s current caseload. Sarah T. Cassidy, who has an estate planning and probate practice, will take over Hazel’s estate planning and probate cases. John Bradley will take Hazel’s education law cases with Hazel’s assistance, and Will Edwards, a Moore Taylor partner, will assume Hazel’s business law practice, associating with Hazel when appropriate.
